This was my first attempt at a goblet using Jimmy Clewes’s unsupported turning technique. I cut the billet of heart pine from a 4x4 beam I found at a garage sale. The growth rings are extremely tight, which leads me to believe it to be old growth wood. The pine resin smell was indescribable. It was a joy to turn.
